The paintings in this collection incorporate found objects such as cardboard boxes, mexican tablecloths (oil cloth), paper, and three dimensional objects, as well as canvas.

In these paintings, the circle and the square are used as a formal device to organize space. The circle suggests cyclical recurrence. Although the paintings contain symbolic references, their main focus is the formal integrity of purely abstract relationships of geometric shapes that combine to emphasize the literal, flat picture plane as well as to give the illusion of a three-dimensional space.
